TODAY: Vote on the Union Sq. proposal
There’s an important vote TODAY, Wednesday, June 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St Anthony’s School, 480 Somerville Ave, Somerville, MA. The vote will decide whether a proposed multi-billion-dollar, approximately 10-year development proposed by Rafi Properties in Union Square, backed by a Project Labor Agreement, will move forward.
This project will create a significant number of family-sustaining jobs for union members and includes many important community benefits.
If you live in Somerville or have worked in Somerville, you can make your voice heard and vote. Before going to the vote, please check out key information about eligibility at the Union Square Neighborhood Council’s website.
Community members have won a historic Community Benefits’ Agreement (CBA) for this project that will serve the public good and create good union jobs. This is a chance to make your voice heard. We need you to show up and support good jobs and good community benefits for Somerville and the surrounding area.
