Mental Health & Substance Abuse Resources
Mental Health Support
Classes for apprentices
All DC 35 apprentices take the Changing the Culture of Construction and Mental Health First Aid courses.
We’re changing the way our industry thinks about mental health, one class at a time.
Peer Supporter trainings
DC 35 has worked with IUPAT International to start training rank-and-file members across North America to be peer supporters for fellow members in times of need. The new program trains members on what to do if they see their union siblings in need of a helping hand and what resources they can connect them to. If you’re interested in becoming a peer supporter, reach out to a business representative.
Substance Abuse Support
DC 35 Recovery Group
Our DC 35 recovery group continues to meet every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Come early at 6 p.m. for something to eat and some team building.
Modern Assistance Program
An employee assistance program that provides a full-range of services for eligible members and dependents, including support for mental health, substance abuse and work-life balance.
Education and Training
Outpatient Treatment programs
