Are you or a family member struggling with navigating your mental health or a substance misuse disorder?
You aren’t alone. We provide our members with services to help them and their families on and off the job.

Explore the options below to learn how we can support you:

Mental Health & Substance Abuse Resources

Mental Health Support
Classes for apprentices
  • All DC 35 apprentices take the Changing the Culture of Construction and Mental Health First Aid courses.
We’re changing the way our industry thinks about mental health, one class at a time.
Peer Supporter trainings
  • DC 35 has worked with IUPAT International to start training rank-and-file members across North America to be peer supporters for fellow members in times of need. The new program trains members on what to do if they see their union siblings in need of a helping hand and what resources they can connect them to. If you’re interested in becoming a peer supporter, reach out to a business representative.
Substance Abuse Support
DC 35 Recovery Group
  • Our DC 35 recovery group continues to meet every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Come early at 6 p.m. for something to eat and some team building.
Modern Assistance Program
Modern Assistance
  • An employee assistance program that provides a full-range of services for eligible members and dependents, including support for mental health, substance abuse and work-life balance.
Offerings include:
  • Counseling
  • Education and Training
