IUPAT DC 35 makes annual donation to support Dorchester Boys and Girls Club

 In News

In an annual effort to support and sustain the services of the Dorchester Boys and Girls Club, Painters Union District Council 35 made a $2,500 donation to the club and provided dozens of toys for student members. The donation will help fund more than 200 programs offered by the club to over 4000 children in the community.

“DC35 is committed to helping communities and building the future of Boston. We are proud to donate this money to the Dorchester Boys & Girls Club that provides much-needed assistance and support to children. In light of the opioid crisis, safe and stable environments like this Club are important now more than ever,” said Jeff Sullivan, Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer of DC35.

“The Boys and Girls Club is now serving children for only $5.00 a year, so it is affordable for everyone and offers high-quality programming. We are grateful for this donation from DC 35,” said Mike Joyce, Vice President of Programming, Dorchester Boys and Girls Club.

“The Dorchester Boys & Girls Club is a great place for the kids in our neighborhood to learn and thrive in a variety of fun and educational programs. My son, Connor, was a member of the Dorchester Boys & Girls Club from an early age and even went on to work at the club through high school and college. We, at DC 35, know what a great asset the club is to the Dorchester community, and we’re proud to lend our support.” said Michael Lafferty, Business Representative, IUPAT DC 35 and a Dorchester resident.
